Medication Assistant
Overview
The Medication Assistant-Certified course educates qualified individuals to administer certain non-prescription and legend drugs in designated facilities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Upon graduation, students are eligible to take the certification examination offered by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.

Medication Assistant-Certified
Certificate of Proficiency
To be considered for the Medication Assistant program, an applicant must:
- Be in good standing with the CNA registry, with a minimum of one year experience in Arkansas.
- Be currently employed by an approved facility.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have an Accuplacer reading score of 239 or an ACT reading score of 16.
- Successfully pass a background check and urine drug screen.
- Provide proof of tuberculosis skin test.
Length of Program: 9 weeks
