ADWORC

Overview

The ADWORC program is designed to increase the labor participation rate in the ASUN service areas by preparing those that have been incarcerated, dislocated from work, or in poverty to the workforce for jobs in Manufacturing, Hospitality, and Allied Health fields. 

ADWORC offers $100 per week for 5 weeks!
Participants must attend all trainings and classes to qualify for max incentive amount

The ADWORC program covers topics such as quality, safety, correct use of basic hand tools, workplace documents, resume writing, general education development (GED) and graphic literacy.

Our basic eligibility requirements are one of the following:

  • Recently released from jail/prison within the last 24 months
  • Annual household income is less than $86,475
  • Unemployed due to layoffs

Upon completion of the program you'll be able to demonstrate professional workplace behavior skills, effectively communicate within a job interview, build a resume and cover letter, demonstrate industry safety practices and achieve a bronze or higher on the National Career Readiness Certificate.

The ADWORC program is 100% financed by federal funds totaling $2,324,336 shared between the five ADTEC colleges.

Certificates

ADWORC participants can earn the following certifications:

  • National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC)
  • OSHA-10
  • Basic Life Saving (CPR)
