Adam Adair

Mr. Adam Adair was appointed as Vice Chancellor for Fiscal Affairs in 2012. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arkansas State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Mr. Adair completed the Next Generation of Chief Business Officer’s Institute program presented by the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) in 2008. He is also 2009 and 2010 graduate of the AATYC Higher Education Leadership Institute.

Prior to his arrival at ASU-Newport, Adam spent four years as Controller at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. Mr. Adair also spent over six years in private business for various industry leading companies in the areas of manufacturing, logistics, and sales. Professionally, he has been a member of the SACUBO Community College Constituency Committee and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

As ASUN’s Chief Fiscal Officer, Mr. Adair oversees Fiscal Operations, Physical Plant, Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing, Marketing, Grants Management, Auxiliary Operations, Risk Management and Contracts, and the university’s Motor Pool.

Mr. Adair grew up in the rural areas outside of Newport, and graduated from what was formerly Newark High School (now Cedar Ridge High School) and is a proud alumnus of ASU-Newport.  He was selected at the outstanding alumnus of ASUN in 2014.

Mr. Adair is involved in the local community through volunteer efforts and membership in Kiwanis and the Newport Chamber of Commerce. He is married to Jennifer Adair of Newport, who was a graduate of Newport High School and also an alumnus of ASU-Newport. He and his wife are proud parents to two daughters, Kinleigh and Hallie. Mr. and Mrs. Adair are active in their local church and its outreach ministries.
