That's what the CRRT team has been doing to the hotrod the last few weeks.
This project was delayed for other class projects. Now the team has turned their focus to making this rod a sweet ride!
The entire car has been blocked and some parts of the car have their first round of primer. After that first round, you have to block and prep for the next round of primer.
While examining the nose of the car, they noticed a split in one of the bends. So, they pulled out their welding gear and started putting it back together. Once that is welded, grinding and blocking begins, followed by a healthy dose of primer!
As you can see here, the CRRT team has been testing their paint mix to see if the style is what they want. Notice the pearl in the black paint (right picture), that should be pretty hot, when the car is done! It will have a red pearl paint on the majority of the car, but the top will have a nice black pearl (like the photo). There are talks of pinstripes, but the team is looking for the right style to work with the color scheme!
More photos to come on the blog, we will share progress photos and eventually showcase the final product!
