August 24 – IKE & Veronica: Let’s Catch Up. IKE & Veronica will connect us to the exciting and engaging events that Leadership & Community Engagement has scheduled for the semester. Thrilled to share about the guests of Campus Connections, the third cohort of Aviator Leadership Academy, ACE Culture Training, Fall Forums, & the office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

August 30 – Jon Chadwell: The Tech Depot. Jon Chadwell, Director of Newport Economic Development Commission, will connect us to the downtown TechDepot and all the resources it has to help grow your business.  

September 6 – Labor Day Holiday

September 13– Jeremy Shirley: Staying Social. The New Role of Marketing. Jeremy Shirley, ASUN Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, will share the new ways of engagement and marketing during the past year and what the future looks like.

September 20 – Tonia Gates: ASUN’s Prison Program. Tonia Gates, ASUN’s Director of Academic Outreach, will connect us to the programs offered at both the Grimes and McPherson Units in Newport.

September 27 – Judge Henry Boyce: Rock n Roll Highway Legacy. Judge Henry Boyce will share his wealth of knowledge and passion for the history and artifacts of the Rock n Roll Highway 67. He’ll share updates and plans for the museum.

October 4 – Marcus Woodson: ASUN’S ADWORC Program. Marcus Woodson, ADWORC Case Manager, will connect us to the program that prepares those who have been incarcerated, dislocated from work, or in poverty to join the workforce.

October 11 – Arkansas Community Colleges Virtual Conference

October 18 – Amy Plaster: ASUN’S Criminal Justice Program. Amy Plaster, Assistant Professor of Criminology, will connect us to the programs and opportunities students have in criminal justice, crime scene investigation, and law enforcement administration.

October 25 – Kristen Smith: Philanthropy at Work – Jackson County Humane Society. Kristen Smith, ASUN’s Chancellor’s Chief of Staff, will connect us to her work in the community at the Humane Society and share ways to get involved.

November 1 – Sheridan Chadwell: Philanthropy at Work – the Harris Foundation. Sheridan Chadwell will connect us to the Harris Foundation and their dedication to building resources for a positive change in the community and share ways to get involved.

November 8 – Dean Joe Campbell: A Taste of Jackson County Folklore. Back by popular demand.....Dean Joe Campbell, Dean for General Education, will share the tall tales and quirky facts of Jackson County’s history.

November 15 – Betsy Walker and Phi Theta Kappa. Betsy Walker, PTK advisor, will connect us to the International Honor Society and the opportunities it provides ASUN students for individual growth and development in leadership and service.

November 22 – Fall Break

November 29 - Cheryl Cross: Providing Pathways for Parents. Cheryl Cross, Director of Career Pathways Initiative, will connect us to the program that helps ASUN student parents with funds for transportation, childcare, textbooks, and preparation for the workforce.

December 6 – Beginning of Finals Week – Winter Break from Campus Connections
