Arkansas State University-Newport at Marked Tree hosted a high school Energy Control Technology competition and awarded several scholarships. Students from 5 area high schools joined faculty and staff to test their skills on February 18, 2020. 

Student success, institutional excellence and community engagement are the three pillars of Arkansas State University-Newport’s goals and initiatives. Students come to us to help map out their futures, as an institution, we too must plan for our success.


Arkansas State University-Newport is proud to announce its recipient of the annual NISOD Excellence Award. The 2020 honoree is Emily Pasmore, Assistant Professor of English.

More than 250 Arkansas State University-Newport students were named to the Chancellor’s or Vice-Chancellor’s lists for academic excellence for the Fall 2019 semester, the college announced Wednesday. 


Arkansas State University-Newport honored fall graduates on Friday, December 13, 2019, at the Center for the Arts at ASU-Newport. 

At the ceremony, 298 students were eligible for graduation totaling 471 awards. 

A leading industry manufacturer recognized an Arkansas State University-Newport student for his excellence in the Energy Control Technology program. 

As we enter this season of giving, one of the dearest projects to many individuals at ASU-Newport is the Student Success Fund (formerly the Student Emergency Fund).
