ASUN’s Automation and Electrical Technology program teaches the skills needed for today’s advanced industrial and manufacturing environments. This career-focused Associate of Applied Science degree prepares students to install, calibrate, modify, and maintain automated and electromechanical systems used in modern industry. Students receive hands-on experience in electrical troubleshooting, schematics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial control systems, and computer-based industrial networks. Students learn to maintain and troubleshoot automated equipment and analyze system failures through root-cause analysis to ensure efficient operation. These in-demand skills are essential across multiple industries, including food processing, durable goods manufacturing, and consumer goods production, where automation continues to grow and expand.
