ASUN Reports 13% Enrollment Increase for Fall 2025
Newport, (Ark.) — Arkansas State University-Newport (ASUN) is celebrating a strong start to the Fall 2025 semester, with total student enrollment increasing by 13.4% over last year. 2,118 students are now enrolled across ASUN’s three campuses in Newport, Jonesboro, and Marked Tree—up from 1,868 in Fall 2024.
The largest growth came from high school students participating in concurrent enrollment, which jumped nearly 30% year-over-year. A total of 606 high school students are now earning college credit through ASUN while still working toward their diplomas.
“This growth reflects the trust students and families place in ASUN,” said Ike Wheeler, Interim Chancellor. “Whether they’re beginning their college journey, transferring, or earning dual credit in high school, students are selecting ASUN because we provide opportunity, support, and a clear path to success. Our mission is rooted in access, and that’s what this momentum represents—individuals being empowered to build their future through education.”
