Earn your Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at Arkansas State University – Newport. ASUN offers hands-on CDL training at three convenient locations — Newport, Jonesboro, and Marked Tree — with new cohorts starting every week so you can begin when you're ready.

The program includes classroom instruction on federal and state regulations, vehicle inspection procedures, and safety protocols, plus behind-the-wheel training in operating commercial vehicles. You'll learn maneuvering, backing, logbook management, trip planning, and cargo handling — everything you need to pass your CDL exam.
