Myers Reappointed to National AACC Commission

Newport, (Ark.) — Arkansas State University-Newport’s Dr. Typhanie Myers, Provost/Vice Chancellor for Academic & Student Affairs, has been reappointed to serve on the American Association of Community Colleges Commission on Student Agency and Student Success, Learning Pathways, and Wellbeing.

Her new appointment term will run from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028.

The American Association of Community Colleges serves as a national voice for community colleges and their students. Through its commissions, AACC brings together leaders from across the country to help inform the work of its Board of Directors and address key issues affecting community colleges nationwide.

The Commission on Student Agency and Student Success, Learning Pathways, and Wellbeing focuses on topics that are central to the community college mission, including student success, academic pathways, and support systems that help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Myers’ continued service on the commission reflects both her commitment to community college education and ASU-Newport’s ongoing focus on student-centered learning. Through this national appointment, ASUN will continue to have a voice in conversations that help shape the future of student success, learning pathways, and student wellbeing across the community college sector.
