Arkansas State University–Newport invites alumni, employees, and community members to be part of this global day of generosity by supporting the ASUN Student Success Fund.
This vital program assists students facing unexpected hardships that threaten their ability to stay enrolled. Our goal this Giving Tuesday is to raise $15,000 to help students overcome emergency financial obstacles that could otherwise prevent them from completing their education.
Every gift, no matter the size, provides urgent assistance that keeps students enrolled and moving toward graduation.
With rising costs and continued economic uncertainty, more students than ever are
expected to seek emergency assistance. The Student Success Fund allows ASUN to respond
quickly, often making the difference between a student staying in school or withdrawing
due to a crisis. When you give, you are directly investing in a student’s future and
helping them reach the finish line.
About Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global movement of kindness and generosity held each year on the
Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Launched in 2012, it was created with a simple mission:
to dedicate one day to encouraging people everywhere to do good.
Why Give?
A single unexpected financial crisis can derail a student’s entire educational path. Since its creation, the ASUN Student Success Fund has served as a lifeline for students experiencing sudden, unavoidable challenges that threaten their enrollment.
Your gift helps students overcome barriers such as:
- Loss of Housing
Temporary support to keep a safe place to live. - Food Insecurity
Ensuring students have access to basic nutrition. The fund also supports the ASUN Campus Food Pantry, which provides free meals and groceries year-round. - Transportation Barriers
Assistance with unexpected car repairs, gas, or transit costs that keep students from attending class. - Unexpected Medical or Safety Needs
Emergency costs that, if unmet, could force a student to leave school.
