Dr. Typhanie Myers was appointed Provost/Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student
Affairs in 2023. She earned her Ed. D in Organizational Leadership (2018) and a master’s
in education administration (2006) from Grand Canyon University. In 2002, she completed
her B.S.E. in Mid-level Education after transferring from Ozarka College where she
earned her AA in General Education in 2000. She holds an Arkansas teaching license

Charles Walker serves as Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Arkansas State University-Newport. With more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning higher education, healthcare and manufacturing, Walker brings extensive experience in financial management, administration, operations, workforce strategy and human resources to the role.
Walker was named Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration in 2026. His previous service at ASU-Newport includes roles as Associate Vice Chancellor for Administration and Director of Workforce Development. During his time with the institution, he has overseen departmental budgeting, procurement, facilities and human resources operations; managed grant-funded initiatives; developed sustainable revenue models; and strengthened partnerships with area employers to expand workforce opportunities.
