Dr. Typhanie Myers was appointed Provost/Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs in 2023. She earned her Ed. D in Organizational Leadership (2018) and a master’s in education administration (2006) from Grand Canyon University. In 2002, she completed her B.S.E. in Mid-level Education after transferring from Ozarka College where she earned her AA in General Education in 2000. She holds an Arkansas teaching license and a PK-12 Principal license. Dr. Myers completed the Arkansas Community College Leadership Institute in 2020 and Newport New Vision Leadership in 2019. As the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement, Ike Wheeler plays a key role in the Administration at the Newport campus. With a strategic vision and a focus on excellence, Ike leads initiatives that enhance the institution's operations and support student success.
In December 2019, Ike Wheeler was named as the Vice Chancellor for Leadership and Community Engagement at ASUN. In 2023, his title was changed to Vice Chancellor for Advancement to better reflect his role in fundraising. Mr. Wheeler has been associated with Arkansas State University-Newport for over 30 years.
