REGALIA POLICY
Students participating in commencement must wear a black cap, gown, and a Persian Blue/Black tassel. Gowns must be zipped.
- Technical Certificate and Associate degree candidates with a current cumulative 3.8 GPA will receive a medallion and gold cord at commencement check-in.
- Phi Theta Kappa members wear a stole they receive with membership.
- Veterans will receive a red, white, and blue cord at commencement check-in
- Student Government Association officers will receive a blue cord at commencement check-in
Before the commencement ceremony, the tassel is placed on the right side of the cap. They are then switched to the left side at the end of the ceremony.
The top of the cap may be decorated, but must be non-distracting to the ceremony, other graduates, and guests. Graduates will be asked to remove any adornments that are offensive or that do not comply with this policy.
DIPLOMA DISTRIBUTION
Diploma COVERS are distributed during the commencement ceremony.
DIPLOMAS & CERTIFICATES will be mailed as degrees are awarded [after all grades are posted]. Student accounts must be clear of holds and have a $0 account balance.

PRACTICAL REGISTERED NURSING CAPPING AND/OR PINNING CEREMONIES
- Capping and/or Pinning ceremonies are held to honor students who are graduating from our Practical & Registered Nursing programs. Students graduating from these programs MUST attend the Capping and/or Pinning ceremony and are encouraged to attend the commencement ceremony.
