Arkansas State University-Newport is honored to be represented by such distinguished alumni, faculty, staff and students. At the 2019 Arkansas Community Colleges Fall Conference, four individuals were honored for their success and dedication to ASU-Newport.

Along with four other colleges, the Delta Regional Authority and U.S. Department of Labor awarded Arkansas State University-Newport more than $300,000 to invest in the Mississippi River Delta region. 

Arkansas State University-Newport hosted its second annual Manufacturing Day on October 2, 2019. The event coincides with the national Manufacturing Day event on October 4, 2019. 

Farming is no longer just driving a tractor and harvesting crops. Today's farming industry requires more technical skill than ever before.

 

Arkansas State University-Newport is pleased to share the first recipient of the Twyford Family Business Scholarship is Landon “Garrett” Smith. This is a new scholarship at ASU-Newport founded by ASUN Assistant Professor of Business John Twyford.

Arkansas State University-Newport's Director of Hospitality Services, Chef Kevin Gee, received a statewide honor from the American Culinary Federation Central Arkansas Association.

Arkansas State University-Newport will host four Culinary Experience classes for the 2019-2020 academic year. All Culinary Experience classes will be held from 6-9 p.m.at the Fowler Family Hospitality Services building located at 5504 Krueger Drive in Jonesboro. 

Arkansas State University-Newport is thrilled to share the 2018-2019 Newport cohort of Practical Nursing students achieved a perfect pass rate on state board exams. Twenty-eight students graduated this spring and took the state board exam over the summer.
