Analog Phone Instructions

Check Voicemail

  1. Dial 7120.
  2. Enter your password.

    If you have not set your password the default is 214365.

  3. Follow the instructions.

Forward Calls to Voicemail

  • Push * * 0

Transfer a phone call

Once a phone call is transferred you cannot get the call back.

  1. Hit the link button on the phone.
  2. Enter the number that you are transferring to.

Call Forward

  • Push * * 1, then enter the forwarding number.

Stop Call Forwarding

  • Push * * 2.

Redial

  • Hit the redial button on the phone or push * #.

Change Your Voicemail Greeting

  • Dial 7120.
  • Enter your password .

    If you have not set your password the default is 214365.

  • Push 4 to get to setup options.
  • Push 1 to get to the greetings options.

Hold a Call or Stop Holding a Call

  • Push the hold button.

Answer a Call Pickup Group

  • Push * * 3.

View Missed Calls

  1. Click the callers button on your phone.
  2. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the list of numbers.

IP Phone Instructions

Check Voicemail

  1. Click the message button on your IP phone that is located on the right side.
  2. Enter your password.

    If you have not set your password the default is 214365.

  3. Follow the instructions.

Transfer a Call

Once a phone call is transferred you can not get the call back.

  1. During a call press the Transfer soft key. This puts the call on hold.
  2. Dial the number or office extension where you want to transfer the call.
  3. When it rings on the other end, press Transfer again. When the party answers, announce the call and then press Transfer. (This is a consult transfer.)
  4. If you are using a handset, hang up. If the party refuses the call, press the Resume soft key to return to the original call.

Call Forward

  1. Press the CFwdALL soft key. You should hear two beeps.
  2. Enter the number where you want to forward all of your calls, exactly as you would if you were placing a call to that number. If you would like to forward your calls to Voice mail then just press the messages button. After you enter the number, an animated phone icon with a flashing right arrow appears in the upper-right corner of the LCD screen.

Stop Call Forwarding

  • Press the CFwdAll soft key

Change Your Voicemail Greeting

  1. Press the message button on your phone.
  2. Enter your voicemail password.
  3. Press 4 for setup options.
  4. Press 1 for greetings and transfers.
  5. Press 1 to change greeting.
  6. You will listen to your current message and then press 1 to change your greeting.

Hold a Call

  • To place a call on hold press the Hold soft key while in a call. You will only be able to retrieve the call from the phone that it was placed on hold by.
  • To park a call press the more soft key and then the Park soft key. Once the park key is pressed a number will appear in the bottom of the display. You may dial this number from any phone to retrieve the call. After 60 seconds the call will ring back to the phone that placed it on park.

Answer a Call Pickup Group

  • Press an available line button on your phone and then press the PickUp soft key. The call rings on your phone.

View Missed Calls

  1. Click on the button labeled directories.
  2. Choose the call list that you would like to view.

Forward Calls to Voicemail

  1. Push CFwdALL button on your phone.
  2. Enter the number 7120.

Stop Forwarding Calls to Voicemail

  • Push the CFwdALL button on your phone.

Cordless Phone Instructions

Check Voicemail

  1. Dial 7120
  2. Enter your password.

  • Dial * * 0.

Transfer a Call

  2. Dial the four digit extension to transfer.
  3. Hit # 2.
  4. Hang up and the call is transferred to that extension.

Call Forward

  • Dial * * 1 and enter the number to which you are forwarding the phone.

Stop Call Forwarding

  • Dial * * 2.

Redial

  • Dial * #.

Change Your Voicemail Greeting from a Home or Cell Phone

  1. Call your office phone.
  2. While your message is playing press *.
  3. Enter your ID. Your ID is your 4 digit extension number.
  4. Enter your voicemail password.
  5. Press 4 for setup options.
  6. Press 1 for Greetings and Transfers.
  7. Press 1 to Change Greeting.
  8. You will listen to your current message and then press 1 to change your greeting.

Setting Up IP Phones with the Web Interface

  1. Go to the Cisco User Options Page.
  2. You will get a security alert click yes to proceed.
  3. Enter your user name.
  4. Enter your password; the same one that you use to login to computers on campus.
  5. You will see all the options that you have with your phone.

Faxing

Local Calls

  • Dial your phone number as usual beginning with a 9.

Long Distance Calls

  1. Dial your phone number as usual beginning with the 9.
  2. Click the pause button twice.
  3. Enter a long distance code.
  4. Hit the # sign to finish the number.

For numbers that are faxed to often, the above can be programmed into a speed dial button.
