WebCT Computer Requirements

Students using the ASUN WebCT platform should have access to a computer that meets the minimum system hardware requirements listed below:

Operating System	98 SE or ME or NT4 w/SP2 2000 or XP	Windows XP
Processor Speed/Type	400 MHz	2 GHz Pentium processor, or better
CPU Memory	128 MB of RAM	512 MB of RAM or more
Monitor Resolution	800 x 600	1024 x 768
Internet Connection	56 kbps Dialup Modem	High-speed connection (Cable Broadband or DSL)
Free Hard Disk Space	500 MB	1 GB or greater
Video Card	16 MB VRAM with 65,000 colors or 16-bit	64 MB VRAM with True Color (24-bit or 32-bit)
Required Software	Microsoft Office or Microsoft Office viewers for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Updated Virus protection software (such as McAfee or Norton Anti-Virus). Java 2 Run Time Environment 1.3.1_04 or higher. Adobe Acrobat Reader.
