To check your messages from a home phone or cell phone

Check your voicemail
- Dial 7300
- Enter your password (Note: if you have not set your password the default is 12345)
- Follow the instructions
Forward all calls to your voicemail
Push **0
Transfer a phone call (Note: once a phone call is transferred you can not get the call back)
- Hit the link button on the phone
- Enter the number that you are transferring to
- Hit the link button again to finalize the transfer
Set a phone to call forward
Push **1 and then enter the number that you are forwarding the phone to
Cancel call forwarding
Push **2
Redial
Hit the redial button on the phone
or
Push *#
Change your voicemail message from your desktop phone
- Dial 7300
- Enter your password (Note: if you have not set your password the default is 12345)
- Push 4 to get to setup options
- Push 1 to get to the greetings options
Put a call on hold
Push the hold button
Take a call off of hold
Push the hold button
Answering a call pickup group
Push **3
See a list of your missed calls
- Click the callers button on your phone
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the list of numbers

Check your voicemail
- Click the message button on your IP phone that is located on the right hand side
- Enter your password (Note: if you have not set your password the default is 12345)
- Follow the instructions
Transfer a phone call (Note: once a phone call is transferred you can not get the call back)
- During a call press the Transfer soft key. This puts the call on hold.
- Dial the number or office extension to white you want to transfer the call to
- When it rings on the other end, press Transfer again. Or, when the party answers, announce the call and then press Transfer. (This is a consult transfer.)
- If you are using a handset, hang up. If the party refuses the call, press the Resume soft key to return to the original call.
Set a phone to call forward
- Press the CFwdAll soft key. You should hear two beeps.
- Enter the number to which you want to forward all of your calls, exactly as you would if you were placing a call to that number. If you would like to forward your calls to Voice mail then just press the messages button. After you enter the number, an animated phone icon with a flashing right arrow appears in the upper-right corner of the LCD screen.
Cancel call forwarding
Press the CFwdAll soft key
Change your voicemail message from your desktop phone
- Press the message button on your phone
- Enter your voicemail password
- Press 4 for setup options
- Press 1 for greetings and transfers
- Press 1 to change greeting
- You will listen to your current message and then press 1 to change your greeting
Put a call on hold
- To place a call on hold press the Hold soft key while in a call. You will only be able to retrieve the call from the phone that it was placed on hold by.
- To park a call press the more soft key and then the Park soft key. Once the park key is pressed a number will appear in the bottom of the display. You may dial this number from any phone to retrieve the call. After 60 seconds the call will ring back to the phone that placed it on park.
Answering a call pickup group
Press an available line button on your phone and then press the PickUp soft key. The call rings on your phone.
See a list of your missed calls
- Click on the button labeled directories
- Choose the call list that you would like to look at
Forward all calls straight to voicemail
- Push CFwdALL button on your phone
- Enter the number: 7300
Take call forwarding off from your voicemail
Push the CFwdALL button on your phone
Check your voicemail
- Dial 7300
- Enter your password (Note: if you have not set your password the default is 12345)
- Follow the instructions
Forward all calls to your voicemail

Transfer a phone call (Note: once a phone call is transferred you can not get the call back)
- Hit flash
- Dial the four digit extension to transfer to
- Hit #2
- Hang up and the call is transferred to that extension

To check your voice messages from your home phone or a cell phone follow these instructions:
- Call your office phone
- While your message is playing press *
- Enter your ID. Your ID is your 4 digit extension number
- Enter your voicemail password
- Press 4 for setup options
- Press 1 for Greetings and Transfers
- Press 1 to Change Greeting
- You will listen to your current message and then press 1 to change your greeting.
Setting options with the web interface for the ip phones:
- Go to the following web site: https://callmanager1.astate.edu/ccmuser/logon.asp
- You will get a security alert click yes to proceed
- Enter your username for example: john_doe@asun.edu
- Enter your password as the same one that you use to login to the computer in the morning on campus
Then you will see all the options that you have with your phone.
Some example greetings are:
Hello, you have reached John Doe, today is Monday, August 11, 2006. I will be in the office all day. Please leave me your name, a brief message, and your number and I will return your call promptly. Thank you.
Hello, you have reached John Doe, I am going to be away from my desk the week of August 11, 2006. Please leave me your name, a brief message, and your number and I will return your call on August 18. Thank you.
Using a fax with the new system:
- For Local Calls from a fax
- Dial your phone number as usual beginning with a 9
- For Long distance calls from a fax
- Dial your phone number as usual beginning with the 9

Click the pause button twice
Enter a long distance code
- Hit the # sign to finish the number
Note: for numbers that are faxed to a lot the above can be programmed into a speed dial button
