Wrenfrow Named Instructor of Culinary Arts for ASUN’s New Hospitality Services Program
Arkansas State University-Newport announced recently that Jessica Wrenfrow has been named as the Instructor of Culinary Arts for the college’s new Hospitality Services programs, which will welcome students for the Fall 2013 semester on ASUN’s Jonesboro campus.
Wrenfrow comes to ASUN a
fter serving as an instructor at Ozarka College. Wrenfrow earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from College of the Ozarks, her Masters of Human and Environmental Sciences degree with an emphasis in Hospitality from the University of Arkansas, and has numerous years of experience in the culinary industry.
“I am extremely excited for this opportunity at ASU-Newport,” said Wrenfrow. “We have a brand-new building, we have state-of-the-art equipment and the students will receive the best quality education possible. It is exciting to start a new program and our students will be trained and ready to go to work when they graduate from our programs.”
“Jonesboro is very restaurant and food-service heavy, and our programs will certainly benefit the entire area,” added Wrenfrow. “Local employers will benefit from our program because they will be hiring new employees with a level of training that has not been offered in this area. Our goal is to produce quality, productive students who can enter the workplace and do an outstanding job.”
Arkansas State University-Newport’s Hospitality Services program will be housed in the new Fowler Family Hospitality Services building located on ASUN’s Jonesboro campus. The Hospitality Services program will offer Associate of Applied Science degrees in Culinary Services or Food Service & Management. Students can also pursue Technical Certificates in Culinary Services or Food Service & Management, as well as a Certificate of Proficiency in Hospitality Services.
